    These look to be shipboard paging speakers. I have seen them on all the carriers I was on while I was in.......

    The front metal grill on those is a different color, the ones I always saw had a nice battle-ship gray.

    Tomt, those drivers were made by Western Electric in the WWII era. They are the military, weatherproof equivalent of either the W.E. 728B or 754A driver... memory fails. In any event they are by reputation VERY good drivers, and are worth a ton of money (two grand at least) to overseas audiophiles who are familiar with their characteristics.
